The charge for committing theft directly from a person without force, threat, or intimidation is a class 5 felony without regard to the value of the thing taken.  For this section to qualify, the property would have to be taken directly from the person, as opposed to property that was taken when the owner was not present (see Colorado Revised Statute 18-4-401 (5)).
